Public health impact assessment of the COVID-19 pandemic on vulnerable groups living near the border of Vietnam and China
An early focus on the socio-economic impacts of COVID-19 on ethnic minority and poor families is important in the context of Viet Nam. TBCT Clinical Trial: Study 29: Evaluating Rifapentine Drug in Tuberculosis Treatment
As part of the TBCT Study 29, research is being conducted in a number of countries, including Vietnam, to evaluate the antimicrobial activity and safety of an experimental intensive phase (first 8 weeks of treatment) tuberculosis treatment regimen in which rifapentine is substituted for rifampin. In conjunction with Westat, ISMS researchers are contributing to Study 29 by monitoring the overall implementation process of study sites in Hanoi.
Qualitative rapid assessment on barriers to and facilitators of care and treatment services among MARPs in HCMC and Dien Bien
To gain insight into why some target groups do not use services and/or do not change their risky behaviors, Family Health International is collaborating with ISMS to conduct a rapid assessment. The assessment employs qualitative research methodology to assess the barriers and facilitators to accessing HIV prevention, testing and counseling services among MARPs and to changing HIV risk behaviors.
Needle & syringe gap assessment for PEPFAR programs
The purpose of the assessment was to examine the procurement, supply chain, and adequacy of supply of needles and syringes in order to identify gaps in resources currently available to inform PEPFAR programming.
